NORA is the ratio between uptake and excretion in the kidney. It is a simple alternative for the estimation of renal transit time (RTT). It correlates well with RTT, while it does not require complicated mathematical conditions. Interpretation is easier than other measurements for renal output such as the time to reach the maximal amplitude (Tmax) or the half-time (T 1\/2) of the diuretic curve, because it is independent of the level of renal function.<\/p>\n
