Thyroid – Radioiodine Test

Thyroid – Radioiodine Test

The radioiodine test program is used to calculate a recommendation of the therapy activity using the uptake of a I-131 test capsule measured by a gamma camera.

In this program, three methods for determining the therapy activity are implemented:

  • Determination of the effective half-life (T1/2eff) of several thyroid uptake measurements,

  • Calculation from only one measurement after 5-8 days of capsule application,

  • Calculation with one measurement after 24h with default values for the half-life according to the disease.
